BUZZWORTHY NEWS

Big weekend ahead, Waco. Silobration is in full swing downtown with 80+ vendors, food trucks, live music, and Magnolia fans everywhere. If you’re planning to go, bring comfy shoes and a little patience (parking is part of the experience).

Saturday morning, Mt. McLane takes over the stadium for one of Waco’s most unique races that is part fitness challenge, part bragging rights. Around town, the Trunk-or-Treats are starting to pop up, and if the weather apps are right, we might actually get a little fall drizzle to go with the cooler temps.

It’s officially that sweet spot in the year where it’s just cool enough to make you forget how much you complained about summer. Let’s make it a great weekend, Waco.

🍽 Dinner Club Recap

Wednesday night was something special. 80 people met across seven different restaurants for the first-ever Waco Buzz Dinner Club, and I ended up catching up with about forty of them at Dichotomy afterward. The energy was great with strangers turning into new friends over shared stories and good drinks.

There’s nothing like stepping off your phone and across that bridge of discomfort to meet new people. I’ll be posting photos soon, but for now, I’m gathering all the feedback to make Round Two even better.

Dinner Club meets again November 19 — grab your spot here.

🍴 Waco Restaurant Week Kicks Off

Omari Head, Owner of Pop’s Lemonade

It’s finally here — Waco Restaurant Week runs October 24 – November 1, and it’s basically a weeklong excuse to eat your way through town.

No tickets, no wristbands — just show up and enjoy special menus, discounts, and pop-ups across the city. Each restaurant keeps 100% of its sales, and proceeds from registration go to Keep Waco Beautiful.

Your best move? Grab the free digital passport — it lists every restaurant, every deal, and every pop-up so you can plan your route (or just follow your stomach).

👉 Grab your passport here.

🐶 Dog of the Week: LeRoy

Meet LeRoy, a 4-month-old Miniature Schnauzer mix with a scruffy face and plenty of puppy charm. He’s just 11 pounds now but still has some growing to do before he hits full size.

LeRoy’s curious, playful, and ready to follow you from room to room like it’s his job. He’s still young, so he’ll need patience and training — but the payoff will be a loyal sidekick for years to come.

🧡 Together With You

Every week, thousands of locals open The Waco Buzz to see what’s happening, where to go, and who’s making Waco better.

I started this to connect people with the places, faces, and businesses that make Waco feel like home, and to give everyone a regular reminder of why it’s worth being proud to call it home.

Now, local partners make that possible.

Each sponsorship helps keep the newsletter free for 8,500+ readers, supports local storytelling, and puts your brand in front of the people who eat here, shop here, live here, and love it here.

If you want to grow your business and grow the city alongside us, we’d love to work with you.
