BUZZWORTHY NEWS

🦘 Bingus Is a Repeat Offender

On Monday morning, Waco Police got a call that a kangaroo was on the loose near University KIA on La Salle Avenue. Officers tracked her down on Robinson Drive and got her safely back to Waco Wildlife Rescue. The dealership had it all on video, and by that afternoon it was everywhere: AP, UPI, Fox News, WFAA, and a good chunk of the internet.

Her name is Bingus. Per her owner, she escapes a lot. This is the second time a kangaroo has gotten out of Waco Wildlife Rescue in under a year. Waco PD kept their sense of humor: "The first time this happened we said it wasn't our typical patrol day, but now it's just become 'roo-tine.'"

🍽 70 Wacoans Went to Dinner
More than 70 people showed up to our May Dinner Club this past Wednesday, got matched with strangers, and left with new friends. Text groups were formed, plans were made, and Waco got a little bit smaller.

There's a Harvard study that's been running since 1938 tracking what actually drives long-term health and happiness. The answer is relationships. Dinner Club is one small thing we're doing to help.

If you missed it, the next one is on June 24.
