🍺Business Spotlight: Brotherwell Brewing
🎂Happy Birthday to our Waco Buzz member Whitney G. !! Hope you have an amazing weekend.
Earlier this week I asked what indoor activity Waco needs more of, and the winning answer wasn’t a claw machine arcade or an indoor batting cage version of TopGolf — it was Trader Joe’s (and honestly, can anyone argue?).
Let’s get to it!

BUZZWORTHY NEWS
Good Things Happening in Waco
🎶 43,000 Seats. Zero Tickets Left.
Cross Canadian Ragweed is reuniting and they picked Waco for one of the biggest shows in Texas this year. McLane Stadium seats 43,000 — and this Saturday it’ll be packed with fans shoulder to shoulder on the field for a sold-out night with Turnpike Troubadours, Shane Smith & the Saints, Wade Bowen, and American Aquarium. That’s tens of thousands of people eating, drinking, staying, and spending in Waco in a single weekend. Translation: a big win for our economy and our reputation as a music destination. Proceeds from tickets sold since Aug. 1 are going to flood relief in Kerr County, and 200 first responders are getting in free.
📱 Yes, Waco Has an App
It’s called MyWaco and it’s actually handy. You can report a pothole, broken streetlight, or even graffiti straight from your phone. Consider it your shortcut to getting things fixed without waiting on hold. Check it out here.
🐾 Catch’Em Again Returns
Collect Em, the downtown cards and collectibles shop, reopens Saturday at 930 Austin Ave. Expect raffles, giveaways, and even pet adoptions with Fuzzy Friends.
🌯 Chipotle Wants to Furnish Your Living Room
Urban Outfitters and Chipotle launched a dorm décor line, and yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like: a foil-wrapped tortilla blanket, bean-shaped bean bag chairs, and a chip bag desk lamp. Apparently it’s not enough to eat Chipotle — now you can live in it. Aimed at college kids, but nothing’s stopping you from grabbing the burrito blanket for couch naps. Prices run $16–$299. Take a look.
Local Business Spotlight
Brotherwell Brewing
Brotherwell Brewing was born out of friendship and a love of craft beer. Founders Jacob Martinka and David Stoneking started brewing small batches for friends before turning a former scrapyard on Bridge Street into one of Waco’s favorite gathering spots.
From the start, the mission was more than pouring pints. Brotherwell became a hub where neighbors meet, musicians play, and local makers set up shop. It’s family- and dog-friendly, with plenty of space in the beer garden to linger over a pint. Their presence has helped fuel the east side’s momentum and given locals a true community taproom.
