Farewell, Valley Mills Overpass 🚧
It’s official: the overpass connecting Valley Mills to northbound I-35 is no more. As part of the My35 Waco South project, it’s being replaced with a diverging diamond intersection (aka a DDI), which TxDOT says will cut crashes by up to 50%.
Wacoans are already mourning the change with some calling it “the best rollercoaster view in town.” 😂 Construction is targeting completion in two years. 🤞

A New Park is Brewing Near Pinewood Coffee

Waco just approved a $307K land purchase to turn the open space next to Pinewood Coffee into a public park.

🚴‍♀️ TriWaco Takes Over Downtown This Sunday
Whether you’re racing, cheering, or just trying to avoid the road closures, TriWaco is this weekend! Athletes from across the state will swim, bike, and run their way through downtown and Cameron Park—expect delays and detours on MLK, University Parks, and surrounding streets during the morning hours.
