šŸŒ®šŸ† Final Four: Waco’s Best Tacos Bracket

We’re down to the Final Four in our quest to crown Waco’s Best Tacos! Over the last two weeks, you’ve been voting, and now only four spots remain. Each of these taco spots has die-hard fans (Lolita’s opened 40 years ago!), and it’s up to you to decide who makes the finals.

Lolita’s and Wacool Tacos came out on top over the weekend while Maria Mezcaleria and Wako Taco secured their spots in the semis. This time next week, we will be crowning a champion. You decide who makes the finals.

Tikka House, known for its success in Austin and College Station, has officially opened its doors at 2609 S. Jack Kultgen Expressway (the former Potbelly’s location next to Starbucks and Chili’s). If you’re craving bold flavors and something different, Tikka House just brought authentic North Indian cuisine to Waco. Most dishes are priced between $10-$20.

Local foodies are already talking abou tit. Praveen R. shared his thoughts after visiting:

On the agenda for Tuesday’s Waco City Council Meeting:

  • New Welcome Center ($589K fix at 6th St) and a park grant—your tax dollars at work

  • The meeting is at 6 PM in the Waco Convention Center Bosque Theater. The public is welcome to attend and can register to speak online or at the meeting. — 100 Washington Avenue, Waco, TX

Yesterday, work began on the Highway 6 ā€œTwin Bridgesā€ (originally constructed in 1964) as TXDoT expands each direction to three lanes plus shoulder space with a target completion date of Summer 2029.
